Frequently Asked Questions
II. If I or someone I know is handicapped can I/they attend a shooting class?
As long as the person can understand the basics and is SAFE there is no problem at all. We are very
proud so say we have worked with challenged shooters and ALL have passed the NRA course. (Ft Dix
is Handicapped accessible) One shooter is Chet's Son.(pictured here)
III. Do I have to be a member of the NRA?
No, our job is to teach you to shoot safely. It it your decision to join or not to join the NRA there is no pressure. We will
answer all questions we can about the NRA and we are all members.
IV. What about bad weather?
Unless the weather is unsafe we shoot. (Lightning, freezing weather etc:) Dress appropriately!!
V. Is there a dress code?
This may sound like a silly question... But we have seen high heels and high skirts at the range. So, no open toed foot
wear, no tank top tshirts, no high skirts shorts OK . Heres why, hot brass flies a couple feet from the firing line
sometimes. When it goes between your toes or down your shirt you can sustain a slight burn. You also may have to get
in the prone position (laying down) or kneel and we don't want distractions.
VI. Food?
Most times we have our classes catered by our own Dawn (RSO) or we eat at the Yardville Inn. Either way Saturday's
lunch is included in the price. It depends on the location, length of the class amount of students where we eat..
X. Are there age requirement's?
All ranges have some sort of age requirements. 10 Years is a common age that local ranges permit to shoot rifle and
shotgun. The NRA has no age limits nor does the state of NJ. There is a 50 question written test at the end of the course
that must be completed. Contact us for more information.

Great Grandpa leave it to you in a will? The answer is probably going to be No. All firearms must pass a function check by
the instructor/RSO their decision is final. When in doubt bring it to a gunsmith and let them have check it out. And get a
letter!
Yes and no. You can bring the correct ammunition for your firearm as long as:
1. It is not reload ammo
2. It is not illegal in NJ (Armor piercing, Tracer/Incinduary)
3. It is not "old" (rusty, corroded, discolored)
4. It is in its original container. (No bag-O-bullets)
Once again the instructor and or RSO have final say what can be used on the range
IX. Can I bring spectators or animals?
NO
VII. Can I bring my own food?
Yes (But stay away from Dawn she may take it personal)
XI. Do I need Eye and ear protection. (Safety glasses and ear muffs)
We have ear and eye protection available for you to use.
