As a new instructor you are required to attend the NRA Basic Instructors Course (BIT) before you attend any instructor class. As a certified instructor you must have attended the Basic Instructors Course within the past two years to attend. Under NRA guidelines you must take a pre course evaluation and pass before you can attend any instructor class. SHOOT NJ requires you to have attended a basic class, have a DD214 or other rifle class before you can attend our instructor class. Instructor classes are intended for people confident with and knowledgeable about the subjects to be taught. These classes only teach you how to present the NRA style class. They do not teach you rifle information. Example, Rifle: Must be familiar with bolt, lever, break, rolling block, and semiautomatic actions, malfunctions, take downs, cleaning and shooting fundamentals, position (Standing, kneeling, sitting, prone). Now you can see where taking the basic class will make you a better instructor and more familiar with the teaching process. |
| You MUST complete your registration after you make your payment at our REGISTRATION PAGE Click on it now and it will open in its own window. Failure to do so will result in you being unable to attend the class. This is for insurance and certificate purposes. |
| This class is taught by an NRA Training Counselor who is also a NRA Rifle Shooting Coach and former US Army Sniper. We are offering an extra class day of training (NON NRA) for those who wish a higher lever of rifle expertise. You will still teach your students the basic NRA class as prescribed in the NRAs syllabus but your Skill and Knowledge level of rifle will be greatly improved. More on positions, and refined shooting |
